The most common question I am asked is about the name of the shop. Morph. What does it mean to me? How do I choose it?
Webster’s defines morph: to change the form or character of; transform. I like that. I have to confess however, that originally my idea was far more complex.
I was going to spell morph: MORE • PH with a large circle encompassing the entire logo. More/transformation(change). Moreph. More change…my sister took one look at this, looked at me curiously, and said, slightly incredulously, “More acid?”
Ok. Well, now I have morph. It still means change and it still says more(e) change. I want to change artists, change items, change your feeling when you walk in the door. I’m hopeful that you will always see something new when you walk into my shop…something that makes you laugh, or brings you a new sense of the word beautiful. I aim to have you leave my shop feeling better than when you walked in, whether or not a purchase was made, and whether or not you were already feeling pretty good.
Change is constant, and in my shop change is consistently good.
